Bad Habit's Mission
Bad Habit was created by bringing together four of the Tri-states most talented musicians with a list of songs that you rarely hear played live by a local band. Here is a brief list of what makes Bad Habit one of Cincinnati's best:
Musicianship
Each member of Bad Habit is an extraordinary musician with an extensive performance history and a penchant for attention to detail in their individual performances. The combination of an exceptional guitarist, a keyboardist with advanced technology, solid bass and drums and three solo vocalists give Bad Habit a potent arsenal of tools to craft and recreate songs very close to the original artist. This allows the group to perform musical selections that you love to hear, but are rarely performed in a local performance setting.
Material
The songs Bad habit selects to play - in most cases - conform to the following formula:
- From a popular band touring from the 70's to present day, or
- A one hit wonder from the 70's to present day
- Includes guitar and keyboards
- Vocally challenging
- Not normally played by a majority of other bands
There are always exceptions to the formula of course, as there are "standards" that every bar band plays. However, the vast majority of material we choose to play will conform to most of those standards.
Sound
It is Bad Habit's goal to give our audience a "true concert" experience whether it's an outdoor festival or a small, intimate club. Much has been invested in our sound equipment, and it's our goal to sound as good as the music we play. We aim to bring the same level of attention to detail in the sound mixing process as we do our musicianship.
Our Employers
We play music for our fans and ourselves of course, but we never forget that we work for the people who have hired us. Bad Habit intends to be a partner with our employers to help promote the club or event as well as ourselves. In a club situation we also remember that the bartenders and wait staff work for tips, and we strive to remind the audience to remember the people who are serving them.
Our Fans
Everything we do and all of the music we play would be for nothing if it wasn't for the greatest fans a music group could ever have. After nearly two decades of performing together, Bad Habit's fans have become our friends. We certainly take our performance seriously, but past that we're out there to provide a party atmosphere and have fun with our friends.
